really?

the other day at work a served a couple guys, probably in their early/mid 20's. Brother's i'm guessing. I served them as I would serve any of my customers, with amazing hospitality ;) haha. Brought the bill out when they were finished, swiped a visa through, said my "thank you's" and "have a good evening's." Grabbed the visa slip to settle their cheque and strangely enough, there had been a name & phone number. It was nice gesture, but also a surprising one. He didn't show no interest or hardly even talked. You just never know what people are thinking..

On another note, half an hour before mid-night my phone starts ringing. An unfamiliar number, but a very familiar name.

me: Hello?
?: Hello?
me: Hi?
(a trembling voice answers..)

?: Do you know who this is?
me: ******?
******: Yeah...

1 minute later and the conversation is over.
