my 1st

it was 3 years ago. he stood out like no other. moving in ways that captured my attention and wouldn't let go. fly as hell and steeze for days. joe (joseph) larot was my 1st dance love.

i remember watching this video for the 1st time and wanting to move just like that. hitting beats i've never heard, stunned by how perfect his timing was. he knew his music. but it was as if the music knew him. his moves created the sounds, the beats, the ticks that the speakers would make.

before this video came along i can't remember being so in love with dance. i always had a passion for it, always did it for the love, but at that time i remember falling deeply in love with it. i admit that youtube sprung my love for dance. i was able to see things i've never seen before. inspired by people i know nothing about besides understanding their passion and willingness to share their talents to public & curious viewers all over the world, like myself.

a few years later and this video still amazes me. joe was way ahead of his time. i was so sad when he deleted his account. thank goodness for others who've uploaded the videos he once had uploaded himself.

i guess i wrote this because i miss dancing. i really do want to get back to this love i once had. its been far too long since i've had practices/sessions/performances. i needed to re-spark this love with my most fond memory of be being so passionate about dance.

thankful i actually got to meet you in person. (2008/2009 Sullivan Heights Dance Team opened up for the Jabbawockeez)

thank you joe.
